It was as if someone had taken a tiny bead of pure life and decking it as lightly as possible with down and feathers, had set it dancing and zigzagging to show us the true nature of life.

Good morning folks….just waiting for the weather to settle and the ferries to sail us home. Here are a few photos of the that I wrote about. Cheers, Monika
Looking back
Hola amigos, one last diversion … hope to send on a few photos soon. See you soon. Love Monika and Randy
Hornados and humitas! – Quito and to Cuenca
We love the town square! It is always alive and we could watch forever. Here in Cuenca our hostel room overlooks the square on the corner of Vargas Machuca and Mariscal Sucre streets. We usually sit on one of the park benches to rest and enjoy the action however, this evening we are observing from […]
A few more photos
Hola amigos, just a few photos … of course the wax palms as best I could. We have crossed the border into Ecuador and are now in Quito … many more stories to tell. Love Monika and Randy.
Trucha y Patacon – Medellin to Salento
Writing this evening ought to come easy as there is so much to tell but finding the words could confound me. I am fuelled by a strong coffee which I had at 5pm to cap off a tour of the ‘finca’ , the small, organic coffee farm at which have spent the past few nights.
How’s it going gringo?
Monika and I took moto-taxi to the beach ! Mother in law on motorcycle. Only one bike came back after 4 hours on the beach and we had to triple back to the nearest town to catch a colectivo back to where we were staying! Yeehaw
Arepas con huevos – Cartagena to Tolu
Hola amigos. Tonight the power went off. The entire town went black…then a few candles lit up here and there. It stayed that way for an hour. Randy and I sat on the roof-top looking at the stars. Suddenly the power came on again and the whole town whooped and cheered in unison. What a sound ! Everyone is outside most nights, doors open and sitting in doorways. I’ve attached the latest travelogue in case you wish to be distracted for a moment. Love Monika and Randy.
Empanadas
Buenos dias from the Caribbean coast of Columbia and the city of Santa Marta. We arrived yesterday morning after a rather terrifying (I thought) overnight bus ride through the mountains. Randy seemed calm through it all, but… he did not have the window seat! Though it was dark, the pinpoints of light on the canyon […]
Hola nos amigos
It has been a great first week, and we are thankful to note the absence of street kids. We have been told that Colombianos look after their families first and above all. Buenos noches mis amigos.
