I have been a huge fan of Jared Diamond ever since “Guns, Germs, and Steel” and “Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed” (still sitting on my shelf for me to read).
A fellow VSO Nepal colleague of ours just finished reading his latest book, “The World Until Yesterday: What Can We Learn from Traditional Societies?“, and mentioned that Diamond briefly reflected upon his life as a parent while researching this book.
Parents will be familiar with this debate: To “Cry it out” or to “Not cry it out”?
