Here are the details for Arlo’s 13th Birthday Celebration at the Cumberland Campground @ Comox Lake on Saturday, September 14th, 2024. If you need gift ideas, Arlo has asked for $$$.

Arrival time: please drop off your kid anytime after 2:30pm. We will be at double-site 207 & 208 (nicely situated beside the camp hosts)

What your kid should bring:

• Camping chair
• Sleeping gear: sleeping bags, pillow, thermarests (optional)
• Swim trunks, gear for the lake, towels
• Change of clothes
• Warm clothes for the evening fire
• Water bottle
• Head lamp or flashlight
• Sunscreen, bug spray
• favourite card or board games suitable for camping
• Optional: their own tent if they prefer

What we will bring:

• a pop-up tent trailer that can sleep 8 people
• a roomy 4 person tent that can sleep….um, 4 people.
• dinner: hot dogs and burgers, drinks, snacks and health snacks (fruit, veggies), drinks
• breakfast: breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bacon, sausage rounds, hash browns, cereal
• Firewood and roasting sticks
• First aid kit

Party notes and sleeping arrangements:

• I will be at the beach supervising whenever possible
• Quiet time at the campground is at 10:30pm.
• I will get the kids to their sleeping arrangements by 10:30 and quiet time will be enforced (zero tolerance)

What not to bring:

• Mobile phone, music players, tablets, etc.
• Anything that makes excessive noise

Pick-up time:

• By 10:30am
• If your kid needs to be ready by a certain time, let me know (happy to remind them).
