Verdict: it does the job. Image and performance issues aside, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 is a decent camera for “ruggesd” scenarios where you don’t want to risk bringing along you DSLR or your iPhone (most of my memories are captured with it). The GPS tagging feature was surprisingly convenient but the proprietory video format (AVCHD) was a pain to edit (switch to MOTION JPEG, I’m not capturing Oscar-nominated footage anyways). This is my second “heavy-duty” camera.
