HP Pavilion 15.4″ Laptop featuring Intel Pentium Dual-Core Mobile T3200

Best bang for your buck in my opinion @ Best Buy.

For superior digital entertainment features and the latest mobile technologies, the HP DV5-1118CA Entertainment Notebook PC delivers. With the power of an Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor and 3GB of RAM, you can multitask on the go with ease. Plus, the 15.4″ LCD, 320GB hard drive, DVD burner, and advanced mobile features, keep you easily connected to your digital world.

Product Features

  • The combined power of the Intel Pentium Dual-Core mobile processor T3200 and 3GB of system memory deliver the speed and performance you need to multitask everywhere you go.
  • A 320GB hard drive lets you carry all your songs, photos, documents and videos in a sleek package.
  • Burn up to 8.5GB of data to disc with the built-in Super Multi DVD drive with Double Layer support using compatible discs.
  • Create personalized, silkscreen-quality DVD and CD labels with LightScribe.
  • Go wireless at your favourite café hotspot with Wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g/n and chat face-to-face or capture video clips using the integrated webcam and microphone.
  • Get extra protection from data loss with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection.
  • Other cool features include 5-in-1 digital media reader, 4 USB 2.0 ports, and pre-loaded Windows Vista Home Premium.
  • Personal review:

Keyboard is a little slippery due to sleek design but easy enough to get used to. Well designed/built and extra HP features such as the 5-in-1 media card reader, HDMI output, web cam, 3 gb of RAM, and light scribe / Dual Layer burner is a steal. Remote control is a little flimsy.

Even though Besy Buy sales people don’t work on commission, they must call it something else because they still push the extra warranty on you.

Hello, is this good for gaming? Like the world of warcraft or playing DOTA? Thanks.

Cliff, in my opinion it is sufficient – not bad.

Ok, i ordered this laptop, and when i got it home, it had NO WEBCAM. I am very upset with this, as that was what I was looking forward to most!! Am I missing something? Or was there false advertizing involved, here???
PLUS i had to pay an extra $100 for Best Buy’s GEEK SQUAD PROGRAM. (For them to inspect it.)

Christy, bring it back and get a notebook with a webcam. Sometimes they have other similar models in stock but with one or two less features (ie. web cam, less RAM, less hard drive space, and even a lower quality video card). Also, there is no need for Geek Squad to inspect it (save your money). If you need help with any installation or networking, call HP support as they will gladly help you out for free (a one year warranty support is included). I had amazing technical support from them.
