Mental Notes

in Nepal…

  • spicy food and having a daily runny nose because of it
  • not seeing rain for months  and sunshine all day
  • dust and pollution (and having a daily runny nose because of it)
  • seeing mounds of rotting garbage everywhere
  • starting work at 10am
  • seeing goats, pigs, and chicken being slaughtered for consumption in the open
  • looking to my right first before crossing the street
  • comfortable with budding in the line
  • bumping my head on low ceilings and door ways
  • the head waggle
  • frequent power cuts (still frustrating)
  • conserving every drop of water (shower water can still be used for a lot of things)
